Artist Statement: Inspired by Roman "Cave Canem" mosaics and riot dogs like Negro Matapacos, dogs known for instinctively siding with protesters worldwide throughout history, this piece reflects how nature instinctively sides with collective resistance. Through crop art, I wanted to explore the enduring power of protest, resilience, and the organic alignment of humanity and nature in the pursuit of justice. It reminds viewers that the roots of change are deeply embedded in solidarity, courage, and a shared understanding of right and wrong.
