Maureen Sorensen

Maureen R. Sorensen, self-taught and prolific, dabbles in a variety of art mediums. For a decade, her agate-centered stained glass stars, mesmerizing kaleidoscopes and booklaces were favorites at local juried art fairs under the banner MY STARS. More recently as MRS POURS, she offered a colorful array of imagined floral, landscape and cityscape fluid acrylic paintings. Maureen has been a fan of the Minnesota State Fair since abandoning Iowa's butter cow in '68. Her pilgrimage to the Fair always includes a visit to see Crop Art in the Agricultural Building. In 2023 Maureen took pride in seeing her first ever crop art entries on display alongside the amazing work of other talented Minnesota crop artisans.
